Gumball (Logan Grove) and Darwin (Kwesi Boakye) are both energetic forces of disaster who are the focus of all the adventures. Like all cartoons that feature families each of the members of the family have their own distinctive personality Anais (Kyla Rae Kowalewski) is the intelligent and well-behaved younger sister, the father Richard (Dan Russell) is like a big child himself with his own unique ability to consume food and generally be lazy for most of the day and the mother Nicole (Teresa Gallagher) keeps everything in control. With a mother who is a cat, a father who is a rabbit and a younger bunny sister the one word for the family has to be odd, but this is a cartoon so it works. We have Gumball a twelve-year-old cat who has a best friend who was a goldfish that now has legs and has joined Gumball’s family. The Amazing World of Gumballis set in Elmore where things are just a little strange. Watching it from a review perspective I do have to wonder what to write about it, and one word that pops up is…crazy. One of the things that is so easy to love is the way they take risks with cartoons and aren’t afraid to provide us with the likes of Adventure Time and The Amazing World of Gumball. I may be seen as being too old for Cartoon Network but I love the channel.
